Ella Mae Collins was escorted to the gates of Heaven on Friday, March 31, 2017 following an extended illness. Ella was born on December 9, 1924 to the late Addie and Dozier Caldwell in Birmingham, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her late husband Douvle Collins and (2) granddaughters, Tonya Johnson and Tiffany Collins. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children Linda Walker, Patricia (Lorenso) Moore, Debbie (Tyrone) Massey, Tommy (Terri Hill) Collins, Kevin (Jaqueline) Collins and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She showed her love through the many children she fostered over the years.  Ella accepted  Jesus Christ as her Savior early in life and was a life-long member of Friendship Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She enjoyed engaging in conversations, entertaining, and having fun with family and friends. Ella will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother and confidant. She will be deeply missed.
