Elizabeth Townsend was born on March 9, 1928 to the late Mr. Henery Johnson and Ms. Ejella Davis in Freemont, West Virginia. She departed this life at the blessed age of 89 on July 1, 2017. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Lottie Alexander, Bessie Clay and her daughter, Bernice Townsend. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those left to mourn her passing sister, Annette Johnson of Knoxville,TN, Clara Black of Lowell, MA; son, Thomas Townsend (Wanda); grandsons, Michael (Lucshunda), Myron and Mark; granddaughters, Tenice, Michel'le, Taylor, and Lonnie; great grandchildren, Demond, Nardierre and Kalis all of Akron, OH; and a host of other loving family and friends. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron,Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.
