Mrs. Elizabeth McElroy, daughter of the late Young Howard and Fannie Green was born October 17, 1929 in Demopolis, Alabama. She attended the public schools of Marengo County. Elizabeth rededicated her life to Christ in 2012 and became a  member of Breath of Life Tabernacle church. Later that year, her son, the late      Minister Anthony McElroy, facilitated in her baptism at The Greater Bethel Apostolic Church. She was united in holy matrimony to James Frank McElroy, Sr. in February 1945. This union was blessed with six children. James Frank, Sr. preceded her in death on July 1, 1986. Mrs. McElroy was a pillar to her community and a loving neighbor. She retired from Colonial Nursing Center after 19 years of work as a Nurse's Assistant. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her beautiful sweet smile and kind candor will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Thursday, December 15, 2016, in the comfort of her home in Canton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Frank McElroy, daughter, Clara Mildred Walker, sons, Terry and Anthony McElroy, sisters, Martha King, Donna Mae McElroy, Betty Walker, brother, Robert Lee Howard, and     grandson, Marcus Anthony McElroy. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of  her children: James Frank (Anna) McElroy of West Covina, CA; Linda Jean (Jesse) Clark, of Canton, OH;     Larry Darnell (Paulette) McElroy of Canton, OH, sisters: Deidre Hughes, Nellie    Huguley, Diana Ferguson, all of Columbus, Ohio, brothers: Stanley Howard of  Phoenix, Arizona, Enoch Howard "Booboo" of Columbus, Ohio, son-in-law, Pastor Allie V. Walker, Sr., of Canton, OH, brother-in-law, Curtis McElroy, of Kent, OH, nieces: Patricia Young, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Josephine Campbell, of Canton, Ohio; nephew: Clint Walker, of North Canton, Ohio, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; a host of cousins, relatives, and loving friends.
