Elizabeth Lake was born to Joseph and Elizabeth Amos Sr. on July 25, 1944, in Columbus, MS. and went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 5, 2022.

Elizabeth was a prayer warrior, saved for many years and loved her family, church, friends and neighbors dearly. A missionary who not only loved and served Jesus, but she did it with all of her heart, soul and mind.  She loved to serve in and out of church, she visited the sick and shut in, she had a heart of compassion for All Gods People so much that she would give a person the clothes off her back.  She was bold in speaking about Jesus to the unsaved as well as the saved.  Nothing would keep her from going to see about her friends, family and neighbors.  It could be 10 feet of snow outside, but she would let nothing get in her way of seeing Gods People Blessed.

In addition, she loved to go shopping at her favorite stores, J. C. Penny and Marcs.  She was known for her famous dressing and sweet potato pies as she loved to cook on the holidays where everything she cooked was homemade and delicious.

Elizabeth worked faithfully for years at Uniwear Laundry in Akron, Oh, she also worked at Damon's Restaurant where she received an award in 1996 as Employee of The Month for outstanding service.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Amos Sr., brothers, Dave, Willie and Joseph Amos, sisters, Annie, Leanne, Mary Ann and Sarah Mae Amos, Deloris Eliel.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her only son, Purnell Lake and her only daughter Balina Smith, the love of her life, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, favorite niece, Tiwana Lockett and favorite nephew, Robert Amos and a host of other family and friends.
