Obituary

On February 13, 2016, God called one of His angels home; Edward "Boxcar" Williams. Eddie was born on September 12, 1939 in Columbus, GA. He moved to Ohio as a young child. He was educated in the Canton City School System.  He later joined the Army Reserves and was honorably    discharged. He met and later married the love of his life JoAnne Addy to whom he was married to for 38 years. To this union two children were born, Angela Dawn and Tracey Charita. He retired from  Republic Steel after many years of service. He was affectionately known as "Boxcar" to his family and friends.    Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Lucille and Gus Williams and wife JoAnne Williams. He is survived by daughters Angela Williams and Tracey Williams; grandson, Jermell Williams;     sisters, Zeara Pratt of Lyndhurst, OH and Nancy Sewell of Chester, PA; brothers, James Williams of Canton and Nathan Reynolds of Dearborn, MI; sister-in-loves; Mollie Pittman of Indianapolis, IN and Evalene    Addy of Nashville, TN; brother-in-laws, Raleigh Addy of Albany, GA and Cleveland Pittman of Augusta, GA; nieces, Dawn, Veronica, Ashayra, Charis, Christina, Latoya, Cindy and Shonda; nephews, David, Kenyatta, Christopher, James, Marion, Marcus, Marland, Brandon and Reggie;      special grandchildren whom he adored; Sinai, Zion, A.J. and Arielle;      god-daughter, Fallon Hammond; lifelong friends, Vaughn Hammond, Thomas Swofford, Johnny Marks, Dickey Wilson and Scipio Bomar as well as many other family members and friends.
