Edward Ballard, Jr. was born to the late Edward Ballard Sr. and Alice L Ballard on May 17, 1955 in Gordon, GA. He was baptized at a young age at Peoples Baptist church by the late Rev William H. Cotton.

Edward Ballard, Jr. attended McKinley High School and had numerous employment opportunities, to include, Timken Roller Bearings while in Ohio. Later, Edward took on the opportunity to travel and started driving commercial for Wiley Sanders Truck Line. He drove trucks until his health started to decline significantly.

Edward Ballard, Jr. passed away from a long battle with congestive heart failure complications on 10/11/2023 at Mercy Medical Center. He was attended to by loving family and friends during his last weeks.

Edward was preceded in death by his  parents; and 3 sisters: Patricia Ballard, Donna Ballard Goodman, and Carolyn Kay Ballard.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories: his only daughter, Desireé Ballard (Jonathan) Isaac; 2 grandchildren: Sameeria and Mayson Issac all of Troy, Alabama; brother: David Ballard; sisters: Christine Evans , Deborah (Haywood) Freeman; ex-wife and family friend, Tracey Ballard and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edward will truly be remembered by his slick talking, his elaborate stories, famous dance moves, and his funny sense of humor.
