Edward Lee Johnson aka "EJ the DJ" departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at his home. Born January 15th, 1958 in Brent, AL to the late Walter Johnson Sr. & Queen Ester Johnson. Also proceeding in death late Sister Ester Johnson.
He graduated from McKinley Senior High School in 1976. He became a member of Penecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C. at a very young age under leadership of the late Elder Lee Nucklos. He later became a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he resided until God called him home. As an entrepreneur, he owned 2 businesses and worked for his own companies. He employed employees through "Johnson Lawn Service" and cleaning service "Coverall". Music was his passion and he was very musically inclined. He self taught his talents on many different instruments. He loved singing with his family and loved ones, and was an avid band member being a part of various groups throughout the years. Most importantly Edward loved his family dearly as they did him.
He leaves to cherish his memories his two children son Kenneth (Kristin) Moore of Canton, OH, daughter Satora Lee (Anthony) Johnson of Warren, OH. (10) Siblings Eugene Chism of Canton, OH, Lillie (Bernard) Wells of Warren, OH, Walter (Olivia) Johnson, Rosemary (Richard) Fontes, Christine Johnson, Cora (Stephon) King all of Canton, OH, Rick (Bertha) Johnson of Elyria, OH, Teresa Turpin also of Canton, OH, Lee Curtis Sheppard of Clanton, AL, & Pamela (Moses) Moore of Brent, AL. (9) Grandchildren, one Uncle Chuck Chism of Alabaster, AL and one Aunt Rosie Lee Moore of Centerville, AL. A host of nieces and nephews ALL whom he had the most magnificent relationships with and played a major role in each and every one of their lives. And also a host of great nieces and nephews. Special friends Apostle Julia Wiggins and Joi. Edward will be forever loved and deeply missed.
