Edward J. Davis, Sr. was born March 1, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to th late Albert and Estella Davis.  Edward was one of eight siblings.  He attended Bryan Elementary School and graduated from Central High School.

Edward was a jack of all trades.  He did carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.  He worked for Midtown TV, Home Center, Kenmore Construction and was a Superintendent for the State Workers in Ashland, Ohio, where he retired.

Edward loved to attend sporting events, especially rooting for his favorite football team, the Cleveland Browns, take vacations in his RV, and go to church on Sundays.  He was a member of St. James AME Zion Church in Massillon, Ohio.  He also enjoyed bolwing and going out to eat.

After a brief illness, Edward peacefully departed this earthly life on March 18, 2019.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Robert, Elbert "Buddy", Theodore, Ethel, Louise, and Helen.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Betty Smith; children, Edward Davis, Jr., Stan Davis, Sr. (Charlotte), Skylar Parsons and Jammi Robinson; grandchildren, Antoine, Carla, Brandi, Stan, Jr., Aaron (Abigail), Kammari, Brooklyn, Donald III, and Braydon; great-grandchildren, Trey, Sydney, Ashton, and Aiden; special niece, Pam Coston; special friend, Ruth Brown; and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
