Douglas M. Edmondson Jr., affectionately known as Doug E. Fresh, age 59 passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side December 2, 2025.

Douglas M. Edmondson Jr. was born to Mary E. and Douglas M. Edmondson Sr. in Akron, Ohio. He attended Firestone High School, where he was a proud graduate in 1984, and went on to serve as the manager of Pizza Hut and East of Chicago Pizza, where he was admired for his hard work and leadership.

Doug lived a life full of joy and simple pleasures.  He loved fishing, playing cards, dominos, and spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for family and friends.  Doug's love for Batman was legendary, and he proudly called himself Bruce Wayne, always ready with laugh and a clever remark. He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and cherished sharing the excitement of game days with family and friends.

Country music was a passion of his, and he loved singing and humming along to every tune.  He cherished spending time with his parents and with his beloved granddaughter Jaoir who brought him tremendous happiness.

Doug loved his only sister Irene, they shared a special bond full of laughter, support, and countless cherished memories. They were inseparable, the perfect pair in both heart and spirit. (STICK AND MOVE)

Doug is preceded in death by his grandparents, Irene and James Bennett of Akron, Ohio and Cindy and Earl Edmondson of Dickerson, Tennessee, sister, Queenie Brazil of Akron, Ohio.

Doug leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Mary E. Edmondson, Douglas M. Edmondson Sr.; daughters, Mary M. Linton, Jane't I. Linton; only granddaughter, Jaoir L. Hill; special aunts, Maggie Mosley, Corrine Young; special uncle, Arthur Rodgers; sister, Irene E. McKlusky; nephews, De'Shawn D. Edmondson, Isak D. Edmondson; nieces, Mary N. Edmondson, Iris D. Edmondson; special relative, Bridgette Linton, as well as a host of many other relatives and friends.
