Dorthy Hazel Cooper was born to the late Edward and Mary Calhoun on April 28, 1933.  Dorthy worked at Stark County Welfare for 23 years before she retired.  She then began working at the Timken Company for the 15 years she was able to work.  Following she continued to enjoy house work and yard work at home and shopping until she no longer could. Dorthy departed this life on December 7, 2018 in Canton, Ohio at her residence after an extended illness.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Henry Cooper; son, Henry Calhoun; special friend, OB Bradley; (6) brothers, Steve, Grace, Aron, Norman (Dorthy's twin), Ben and John Henry Calhoun; (5) sisters, Anna Cox, Hattie Powell, Sally Williams, Emma Richardson, and Adlonie Reverie. Dorthy leaves to cherish her memories her sister Ollie Floyd; daughter, Marjorie Calhoun of Lauderdale, Mississippi; grandson, Christopher Calhoun, Sr.; (2) great-grandchildren, Ce'Aira Henderson and Christopher Calhoun, Jr.; (4) great-great grandchildren; special family friends, Lois Bryant, John (Mary)Polluck, and Norma Stewart as well as a host of other family and friends.
