Dorothy L. Johnson was born April 3, 1933 in Hayti, Missouri to the union of James E and Etherlene Weir.

Dorothy was the 4th child of fourteen siblings, and was a twin of Doris C. Weir.  After graduating from high school, Dorothy moved to Chicago, IL. There she met her husband Austin L. Johnson. After marrying, they moved to Canton, Ohio.

Dorothy, affectionally known as "Dot" to many, worked at Doctor's Hospital in Massillon, Ohio as a unit clerk and retired with over 30 years of service.

Dorothy loved gardening, crossword puzzles, word searches, and spending time with her family. She was baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesss in November, 2010.

On September 5, 2024 Dorothy departed this life peacefully at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin L. Johnson; son, Lowell C. Weir; great-granddaughter Amirykal Weir; parents, James E and Etherlene Weir; brothers, James R. Weir, Doris C. Weir, John D. Weir, O.B. Weir and Dean N. Weir; sisters, Louise Weir, Barbara Jean Weir, Carolyn F. Weir-Culler, Betty P. Weir-Martins, and Gloria Lucille Weir-Alexander.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter Una M. Weir-Clifford (Terrell) of Canton, OH; step-daughter Alicia Johnson of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Leah Weir of Canton, OH, Maia Weir of Massillon, OH, Aaron Weir of Cleveland, OH, Loren Weir of Akron, OH, Ian Weir of Canton, OH and Aubrey Weir-Thomas of Copley, OH; great-grandchildren Dierre Dillworth of Warren, OH, Ki' Ara Chambers of Canton, OH, David Robinson of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Nyla Lackey of Copley, OH, Amaya Holmes of Akron, OH, Gabriel Weir, Canton, OH, Nori Weir of Copley, OH, Elix Weir and Aeon Weir both of Akron, OH, Kenzeigh Suttles of Waynesburg, OH and Nia Thomas of Copley, OH; great-great grandchildren Dierre Dillworth Jr. and Da'Moni Dillworth both of Warren, OH; sisters, Martha Sue Weir-Bailey of Chicago, IL, Margaret Weir-Maze of Raytown, MO, Diane Weir-McElroy of Kent, OH, specials friends Judy Blackshear and Dora Daniels both of Canton, OH, special daughter-in-law Terrie Weir-Edwards of Akron, OH and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
