Dorothy Faye Gatlin (Boyd), 70, of 315 S. Maple St., passed away suddenly on December 31, 2022.
She was born in Akron, Ohio and lived in the community all of her life. Dorothy was a caring individual and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Connie Boyd and Jeffrey Montgomery, brother, Jeffrey Boyd, sister, Margaret Boyd and daughter, Angeline Boyd.
She is survived by her brothers, J.D. and Eugene Montgomery, sisters, L.V. Alexander and L.B. Pope, children, Kevin Boyd, Fawn Gatlin, Ronald Wright, and Rodney Austin, grandchildren, Shamar Gatlin (Kevin Cook), Shalamar Gatlin (Jimmy Harmon), Essence and Rodney Austin Jr., Empress Antoine, Sevin Gatlin, Charlize Taylor, Kyler, Tyree Kevin, Buggzy, Coriano, NaKiya, NaKaya and Kyrah Boyd, Kashawna Grant. A host of great grandchildren, Dayshawn Moore, Daymere Dabney, Justin Corn, Grayson Gatlin, Jimmy and J'Shay Harmon, Demari Baily, Kaci, Kevi and Gabby Cook, Matthew Sanders, Zarria Pace and Amya Austin. A host of special nieces and nephews, Deshawn Goley, Elizabeth and Constance Boyd, special friends, Patricia Perry, Sarah Honorable, Mary Ann, Slim and Wilber Perry.
