Doris L. Smith, 55, went home to be with the Lord on August 9th, 2013 after a long term illness. She was born to and preceded in death by parents William and Harriet Ann Rogers. Doris graduated from Buchtel High School. She was a dedicated employee of Akron Children's Hospital for over 20 years and a faithful member of Church of God MPGT of Akron for over 40 years. Doris leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sons, Brandon (Danielle) Smith, Frank Smith Ill, and special grandson Jayden Smith all of Akron. Also, special aunts Lois Dickerson of New York and Catherine McDonald of Georgia; special uncles John Morris of Akron and Larry Rogers of Akron; brothers; Michael (Eugenia) Morris of Akron, Leonard Rogers of Akron, Joseph Rogers Sr. of Akron, William Jacobs of Barberton. Sisters; Barbara Jean (Mark) Anderson of Akron, Vanessa (Jerome) Williams of Racine, WI, Karen Rogers of Akron. Special friend; Ernest Smith of Akron.
