Donald E. Waker, 67, passed away May 24, 2022.  Donald was born October 10, 1954, in Bluefield, WV to Cortez Y. Bowles & Martha Jane Walker.  Don came to Akron, Ohio as a child where he attended Buchtel High School and then Kent State University.

Don had a passion for caring for those who could not care for themselves, he loved gardening, music and movies.

He is proceeded in death by parents Cortez Bowles & Martha Jane Walker, brothers Anthony Walker & Michael Brown and sister-in-law Sherry Walker.

He leaves a loving memory with wife Althea Walker, daughters Amaris (Adam) Oberlin & Alerce Walker, brother T.H. Walker, sister Anna Brown, devoted cousin Andrea Ryce and a host of aunts, uncles, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be held Thursday June 2, 2022 at 10:00AM at Lakewood Cemetery.
