Dia K. Wali, "Lacy Wallace, Sr.",  77, departed from this earthly life on March 16, 2019. He was born in Selma, AL on Sept. 19, 1941 and had been a resident of the Akron, OH for a number of years.  He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. Preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Martha Wallace; daughter, Anna Satterwhite; two brothers, four sisters and three grandchildren, he leaves to cherish his beloved memory, loving wife, Shirley Wallace; sons, Lacy (Lolita) Wallace, Jr. of Urbancrest, OH and Spencer Wallace of Akron, OH; daughters, Toni Wallace of Akron, Beverly Wallace and Tina Hargrove of Columbus, OH; brother, James (Libby) Wallace of Akron; sisters, Cora Myricks and Betty Mitchell of Akron, OH; special niece, Beverly Reddick of Akron; special grand-daughter, Keysha Parker; grandsons, Sunni and Omar Wallace; 18 other grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews. other relatives and many dear friends. Homegoing service will be held Monday, March 25, 2019, 12:00 PM at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306, where the family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of service.  Interment, Glendale Cemetery.
