Derrick T. Palmer "Butchie", 32, of Barberton, Ohio passed away on September 29, 2021 suddenly in his home.

Derrick was born on January 30th, 1989 at Barberton Citizen's Hospital. He attended Barberton Public Schools where he excelled in sports. Derrick played Pee Wee football with Coach Jimmy Ferguson and along with his other teammates, they won a championship. Derrick had many things he enjoyed but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his cousins because they were always laughing.

Derrick is preceded in death by Vallie (JC Watkins), Ellen (Fred) Scott, Sylvester Jones, Lovett Hardaway, Adger (Minus) Jenkins, Tracy Palmer, Dorothy Askew, Rosetta Wilson, Theodore Scott and his favorite cousin David Hart.

Derrick leaves to cherish his loving memory, parents, Stephanie Palmer and Derrick Jones; his four beautiful children Alexis Prater, Italy Palmer, Derrick Palmer and Derrion Palmer as well as his step-son Lee'ln Love; siblings Dorothy (Adam) Sylvester and Isiah (Jackie) Palmer; grandmothers, Betty Jones and Cynthia Scott; mother of his children, Angel Prater and LaCreasha Cargill; special friends, Lateasha Love and Lila Latoya McElrafth; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other close friends.
