Deritha Nannetta Gates-Heath "Netta" passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. She resided in Canton, OH since 2014, Massillon, OH, Oahu, HI and Akron, OH. Born in Akron, Ohio on June 12, 1958 to the late Ben and Deritha (Woodsbey) Gates of Akron, OH. Devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. In addition to her parents she is preceded in in death by her brother James Frank Gates. She leaves to cherish her memory (2) sons Benjamin GM Gates of Victorville, CA and Jamison J (Taelor) Gates of El Paso, TX; sister-in-law, Peggy Gates of Oxon Hill, MD, (2) sisters, Tabitha (Ken) Brunner of Canton and Tesheebia Gates of Canton; (2) granddaughters, Ariana and Ashlyn Dowda-Gates of Kailua, HI; (2) grandsons, Noah and Connor Gates of El Paso, TX; (4) nieces, Angela Andersen of Oxon Hill, MD, Samantha, Kristyna and Savannah Brunner of Canton, OH.; (2) nephews, Tony Gates of Sacremento, CA and Chris Brunner of Canton, OH
