Delores
Mitchell
February 26, 1951 – February 12, 2024
Delores Mitchell (Pluki), 72, was born on February 26, 1951, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, suddenly on Monday, February 12, 2024. She was born in Barberton, Ohio where she was baptized at an early age at Galilee Baptist Church.
Her family moved to Akron, Ohio where she resided and attended Akron Public Schools graduating from East High School. She had two daughters, LaQuetta and LaQuenta Mitchell who she loved dearly. She worked at St. Edward Village and had also worked for the City of Akron years ago in sanitation. She loved to go shopping on Saturdays with her daughter Quetta to any every store, grocery, clothing, and shoe stores, The Village, Salvation Army and the Good Will. You name it, and she was there. Whatever you or your family needed she made sure that you had it plus more. Either she would give it to you or she would sell it to you, she was about her money.
Pluki lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed listening to her music, some of her favorites included, Sir Charles, Pokey Bear and King George. She loved being around family, dancing, playing cards, and having her Luau parties. She would be creative and try to make everything she possibly could. When it came to the casino and slots, she was there enjoying herself with or without you. She definitely enjoyed wearing her Pink outfits to parties, weddings, birthdays and events. She really enjoyed being around her family and friends at gatherings.
Delores was the last living child of her mother. She is preceded in death by her daughter, (Baby) LaQuenta Mitchell; her mother, Willie Bell Wise; father, Ulyssee J. Mitchell; sisters, Eva Mae Mitchell, Elaine Mitchell, Alice (Willie) Brunson, Deborah Gross and Linda Jones; brothers, Henry Mitchell, Burney Mitchell, Sr., Leroy (Sharon) Mitchell and Ronnie Mitchell; nieces, Teresa Keyes and Karen Mitchell; nephews, Burney W.
