Delores Marie Freeman, 93, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2026, in Barberton Summa Hospital. Surrounded by loved ones.

The beloved daughter of Reverend John Henry Hale and Rowena (Gladman) Hale. She accepted Christ as her Savior as youth in her father's church. A life-long resident of Ohio. She attended Bryan Elementary, North High School and resided in Akron, Ohio. She married the late Elmer Mull and Mary Catherine was born from this union. 

At a young age Delores cared for her mother, who was very ill, revealing her gift of caregiving. She worked in the food service industry, which she loved enhancing her cooking and baking skills. 

She also made a living as a seamstress. She and her sister Geraldine were unmatched in their skills and talent. They created men's and women's clothing, accessories, interior designs and dolls, while residing in Akron for several years.

When her father's health began to fail, she lovingly became his caregiver until his passing. She went on to pursue a career as a nursing assistant, working throughout Summit County and retired from Pleasant Point Assisted Living Facility, Barberton, Ohio. 

She was a devout member of Galilee Baptist Church. She loved people, family gatherings, gardening, singing, fishing, cooking, sewing, swimming, her pet German Shepherd, technology, "The Price Is Right", "Jeopardy" and her favorite movie, "The Ten Commandments". She watched it every year since 1974, for a total of 54 years. She shared her passion and love for God and for people through-out the community and travels in the United States. She has volunteered, served and lived in the Barberton Community for over 60 years. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Reverend John Henry Hale and Rowena Gladman Hale Russin; siblings, Alice Krammer, Geraldine Key, John Hale Jr., Eugene "Genie" Thomas; stepfather, Walter Russin; spouse(s), Elmer Mull and Claude Freeman.

Delores leaves to celebrate her life, her daughter, Mary Catherine Mull; grandson, Karon Ali Tolbert; siblings, Kenneth (Gwenola) Freeman, Ricco Baker, Lance (Sandy) Armstrong, Sally Armstrong, Simora (Sam) Fields; cousins, James (Sharon) Key, Marcia (Richard) Beasley, Randy Key, as well as a host of grand, great grand, great- great grandchildren (4 generations), extended relatives and friends.
