Deborah Ann
Lindsey-Golding "Debbie"
July 31, 1953 – March 24, 2024
Deborah Ann Lindsey-Golding (Debbie), passed away in the early morning of Sunday March 24, 2024. She was born to the late Sylvester Theodore Lindsey (Ted) and Patricia Ann Stanford on July 31, 1953 in Akron, OH. Growing up she attended the Akron Public School System, later receiving her G.E.D. Debbie had remarkable bonds with all of her siblings, but her Big Brother Gary (G) held her heart until her last breath.
Throughout her life Debbie endured many trials. Her biggest tribulation led to her greatest joy, the birth of her one and only child Michele Marie. Debbie's relationship with her daughter faced a multitude of challenges and set backs, but in the end love showed up and delivered.
Debbie's testimony started in the late 90's when she relocated to Dayton, OH, where she became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for "The MonDay Program". During her time there she was able to help multiple women walking a road that she had once been so familiar with. She continued this work until her health began to decline.
After retiring Debbie continued to take pride in being a wife to her husband Russ who she began a union with in 2009, and taking care of her granddaughters who had been in her care since 2001.
Debbie was the one family member/friend that you knew you could count on. No matter how she felt, no matter what the weather, if you called she came, and if you needed something she couldn't handle, she would just happen to know someone who could. She was a genuine heart, never asking, always doing, never complaining, always encouraging.
She would spend her last few years finding joy in bonding with her family, enjoying her friends, and being a loving grandmother to her great-grandchildren. Although she is no longer with us in the present, her smile will always radiate our past.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents: Ted Lindsey, Patricia Stanford, Father in Love: Peter Crews, Grandparents: Grandma Lacey, Grandma Roxi, and Grandma Bessie, Siblings: Nakita, Christine, Gwen, and Terry. Granddaughter Natasha, and Niece Michell'e (Moe)
She leaves to cherish her memory; Husband Russell Golding, Daughter Michele Powell, Mother in love Susan Lindsey, Siblings: Gary, Stephanie(James), Kimberly, Michelle and Jason of New Jersey, Chaunie(Darryl), Billy, Naomi, Dy'Quone, Mary, Renetta(Charles), Brothers in Law Eric Cooper and Billy Beck. Grandchildren: Alexis(Kevin), Ashley, Terrasha, Marlon, Charron, and Brittany.
Daughters in Love: Tiffany(Matt), Erin, April, and Carla. Dedicated Nieces and Nephews: Catrina, Tasha B, Bill, Vanita, and Lil Raheem. Dedicated Cousin and Dear Friends: Arlene Johnson (Peaches), Ms. Dorothy, Ms. Marva, Jackie and Gwen. Debbie also leaves 11 great grand children and a host of other family and friends.
