Deborah J.
Davis
June 24, 1966 – February 17, 2025
Deborah Jo Davis as she was so affectionally known as "Debbie" departed this life unexpectedly Monday February 17, 2025, at home. Debbie was born alongside her identical twin sister Denell to the late Reuben Shuford and Patricia Ann Davis on June 24, 1966, at Akron City Hospital. She attended Akron Public Schools and was born & baptized into the Church of God & Saints of Christ at an early age.
Debbie loved to cook, dance, listen to music, and celebrate an annual birthday bash for her and her twin sister (Denell) at her home with her husband Jeffrey Jones. Debbie also loved the lord and was always willing to help anyone in need of a meal or a place to stay. Being reunited with her children was her greatest accomplishment and she took full advantage of becoming an active mother and grandmother to them. Debbie had a beautiful smile and comical spirit, hearing "Trick No Good… and Hello" will surely be missed but NEVER forgotten by her family and friends.
Debbie was proceeded in death by her parents Reuben and Patricia, grandparents Robert Motley and Mary Alice Anderson, sister Sonya Lynn Davis, nephews LaRon V Davis and Anthony D Robinson Jr, Great Neice Jaziah Debruce, and best friend Earlene "Lena" Rucker.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Jeffrey Jones, Twin sister Denell V Davis, step mother Janet Shuford, of Pheonix Arizona, sisters Regean Shuford and Tonya McCreary of Columbus Ohio, brother Walter Gibson stepsisters Penny Hudson of South Carolina LeCarla Hearn of Arizona sons Robert Long and Shaakir Ali daughter Basmah Ali grandchildren Royalty, Isiah, Zaniyah, Robert Jr, Royce, Brooke, Brea, Juelz, Jonathan, Shaakir, Remez, Reign, Karsyn, Remi and Yari aunts Delilah Johnson, Brenda Grant, JoAnn Vinson, and Francine Winfred, special nieces Alexis, Tricia, Ebony, Daytona, and Lenora, nephews Demetrius, Erick, Sincere, SinTrell, Armani and a host of other family and friends she truly will be missed.
