Dean Louis Prophet, age 83 of Canton, Ohio went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was born April 18, 1932 in Aultman, Ohio to the late William and Mattie (Calhoun) Prophet. He was the youngest of seven, and grew up during the depression which can be surely attributed to his work ethic. Dean attended J.J. He retired from Republic Steel with 42 years of service. Dean was a member of Crystal Park United Methodist Church, the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and the Korean War Veterans Association. In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Etta; brothers, William and Harry; sisters, Mattie, Dorothy, Catherine and Anna Belle. He leaves to cherish his memory his children; two daughters, Deborah Wilson and Valerie (Ben) Gulley; four sons, Geoffrey, Mark, Ira and Edward Prophet; grandson of the home Justin Prophet; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; nieces, Diane, Katherine and Florence Lawson of Detroit, Michigan and Patty    Prophet; special cousins, Mary Spicer, Jim and John (Nancy) Calhoun and Johnnie Mae Calhoun; special friend, Mary Rawlings (sweet Mary).
