Deacon Calvin L. Thomas, 83 went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2016. He was born on November 20, 1932. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the Deacon Board. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mother Lucille Thomas and his sons, Alvin and Timothy Thomas. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his sons, Terry (Jacqueline) Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA and Calvin Thomas of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Home going celebration will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.
