Deacon Joseph C Paris, age 75 of Canton, OH was called home on December 18, 2022.  Deacon Paris was born on July 23, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Joseph C Paris and Ethel Mae (Campbell) Paris.

Deacon Paris was employed with the Timken Company from September 1, 1965 until June 30, 1997 before retiring with 31.8 years of service.

Joseph C. Paris founded the Canton Community KidSummit Against Drugs, affectionately known as KidSummit on November 28, 1990.  Under his leadership, KidSummit, was an effective Drug Prevention Agency impacting the lives of children and their families throughout Stark County.  KidSummit was instrumental in improving the knowledge of drug use, heighten the awareness of drugs, and providing methods of drug prevention amongst children in the City of Canton.

Deacon Paris accepted the Lord as his Savior under the leadership of Pastor Superintendent Flanders Gillems.  He was a long-time member of God Given Church of God In Christ.  He became a faithful and committed Deacon.  He was also the Administrator of the Finance Committee.

Other than his parents, Deacon Paris was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Bertha Chaney; Aunt, Cora Morris, who became his 2 ^nd mother after losing her sister (his biological mother) to tragedy when he was just a baby; Brother: Gerald Campbell; Sister-In-law: Cora Campbell; Niece: Tiffany (Campbell) Price; Cousin: Edna Bishop and Brother-In-Law: Matthew Lilly.

Deacon Paris love and memories will be cherished by his wife of 31 years Sara (Lilly) Paris, affectionately known Julie or Juliette; Nephew: Melvin Weatherspoon; Niece: Gail Weatherspoon; two Sister-In-Law's: Sadie (Will) Williams, Dorothy Lilly; two Brother-In-Law's: Roger (Sara) Lilly, Sydney (Pecorial) Lilly; Special Niece: Sehoni (Stephen) Beall, Special Nephew: Austin Lilly along with a host of other Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
