David A. Jenkins Sr., age 78, of Canton, Ohio, passed away April 11, 2022 in Aultman Hospital, after an extended  illness. Born October 4, 1943to the late Alfred D. Jenkins Sr. and Juanita A. Jenkins.

He was a graduate of McKinley High School where he was active in sports, playing basketball and running track.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He moved from Canton and spent the next 40 years in California in a variety of vocations as an actor, realtor, pipe fitter, teacher, and salesman.  He attended ITT Technical Institute and graduated valedictorian of his class, with a degree in computer science.  David moved back to Canton 10 years ago, retired and enjoyed working on his home, gardening and trading. David had a large gregarious personality and was a friend to everyone.  He was a devout Jehovah's Witness, a ministerial servant, and spoke to everyone he could, shaking hands and spreading the word. David's favorite scripture was Rev. 2:14.  He loved his family dearly and was committed to them.

David leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn C. Jenkins; son, David A Jenkins Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Bryant; brother, Alfred D. Jenkins Jr.; sister, Linda L. Jenkins; (6) grandchildren; (1) great-grandchild, as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends.
