David was born in Akron, Ohio on October 28, 1972, to David and Bessie Brown. He attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School until  the 9th grade where he was a straight-A student.  He went to Akron Buchtel High School, and graduated with the class of 1991. David excelled in his studies as well as in sports and was a member of the 1988-89 State Championship Football Team. He continued his education at Kentucky Wesleyan College before transferring to Kentucky State University, an HBCU.

David Brown was a diehard Steelers fan and followed the L. A. Lakers too. He loved the debate about who has the best team. During the high school football season, he really looked forward to the "Griffin Road Show"!   David, PJ Pruitt and Cornell Greene, would always travel to see their beloved 1040 Griffins wherever they played.

David was previously employed at Motor Wheel and was most recently employed at NOVO Health Services in Ravenna, OH.

David is preceded in death by his parents, David and Bessie; grandparents; 7 uncles; and 3 aunts.

He leaves to hold the memories of the joy and laughter of Orlando Ave. to his brothers, Kevin A.  Brown and Devonte L. Starks-Brown; sister, Jessie Melissa Brown; uncles, Dwight (Mary) Brown and Tony (Yvette-McGhee) Brown; aunts, Dorthy Jean (Carl) Ferguson and his favorite aunt, Mardel Jones; nephews, Kevin Brown Jr., Elijah Brown, Matthias Ezekiel Peters, Zion-David Sams, and Nehemiah Ezra-Lee Sams; special cousin/brother, Robert (Junie) Anderson; the Brown, Kellum, Elton and Scales families; and a host of  loving and caring friends and community of family and friends.
