Darletta Leona Clark went home to be with the Lord May 17, 2026, after a brief illness. Darletta was a woman who knew many, not a stranger to none, a very faithful friend, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She was very loving, caring, and the best mother anyone could have. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved to play cards, slots, bingo, and cooking. She was a devout Christian, who loved praising the Lord. Darletta loved praying and reading her Bible faithfully.

Darletta was preceded in death by her mother, Classie Peacock; father, Winfield Davis and Eddie Sheppard; husband, James Clark Sr., lifetime partner, Andrew Johnson Sr.; sons, James Jr. and Marshall; daughters, Adrienne and Lavonne; granddaughter, Markeeta and grandson, Diaire.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, daughters, Lunetta Garr(Anthony), Mia Clark, Yolanda Clark, Andrea Clark; sons, Arthur Clark, Thomas Clark; grandchildren, Tia, Calvin, RaySean, Tiaera, Godess, Derryll, Faith, Destiny, Shanita, Darletta, Marshall, Johntay, Dawayne, Marshell, Taya, Dominick, Cherish, James, Quran, Arthur, Caliyah, Jennifer, and Cattleya  ;(54) great grandkids, and (12) great great grandkids; sister, Mildred Harrison; special lifetime friends, Mary, Betty, Sandy, Dianne, Doris, Dorothy, Barb, little Barb, and Stuff, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
