Darlessia M
Bradford
July 8, 1960 – January 10, 2026
A true angel got her wings on Jan. 10th at 1:47 p.m. Darlessia M. Bradford died amongst her daughter Arielle Pittman and fiancé James Burt peacefully. Darlessia was born July 8th, 1960, in Akron, Ohio to the late Diane and Eugene Butts. She was a woman with many talents. She was Mrs. Fix it. She could often find solutions to problems that often others were troubled with. Her smile and laugh were often contagious that spread joy to everyone that heard its humor. She had two main hobbies, the first was being the queen of resale. She spent a lot of her spare time shopping at secondhand stores like Village Discount Outlet and Goodwill. If you were looking for it, she could find it for you. It wasn't till later on that Darlessia opened her own consignment store called Expressions. Her daughter and sister-in-law worked right beside her as her managers. Her father and stepmother were the CEOs to the business.
Her second hobby was watching Forensic Files and reading her murder/crime books.
Darlessia worked for Indian River School for boys for a bid. She worked there for ten years and moved on to work for Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority. She started off as a clerk but soon worked her way up to a Family Advocate and then to Housing Manager. As time went on, she enjoyed helping others secure housing and become self-sufficient working for Stark County out of Poverty. It was here that she helped people buy their own homes and start their own businesses. Later, she secured a job with the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority as a Housing Manager. She worked there for ten years or more.
Darlessia had a nook for helping others. She had a giving spirit. Throughout her time on this earth, she also was a foster parent to numerous foster children for both Stark County Children Services and Summit County Children Services. In addition, she was a great mother to her own daughter Arielle Pittman.
Darlessia was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Butts, father, Eugene Butts Sr., brother, Dale Butts, aunts Carol Bowman and Patty Wheeler, uncle, Darrell Warren, ex-husband, Willie Bradford.
Darlessia leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Arielle Pittman, brother, Eugene (Kathy) Butts Jr., stepmother, Beverly Butts, and her fiancé James E. Burt who held a special place in her heart and host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as many cousins and friends.
