Darla R.
Daniels
July 5, 1966 – August 31, 2025
With hearts filled with love and sorrow, we celebrate the beautiful life of Darla Daniels, born on July 5, 1966, and called home on August 31, 2025 — a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to everyone she encountered. Darla was a free spirit, full of life and light. She had a natural gift for making others smile and could turn an ordinary moment into something unforgettable. Darla loved to shop and had a keen sense of style, effortlessly coordinating her outfits from head to toe while always spotting the best deals — especially when it came to her beloved Michael Kors and Coach purses. She also had a gift for decorating, creating a warm and stylish home for herself while helping friends and family bring their spaces to life. Her classy, coordinated style and passion for expressing herself through fashion and design were truly inspiring. She leaves behind a loving legacy carried on by her devoted son, Walter L. Dubose; her loving daughter, Shanese Daniels; her caring brother, Tyrone Dubose; and her beloved fiancé, John Ewing. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Walter Dubose Jr., Dariyon Thomas, Weihlani Dubose, and Eden Dubose; her great-grandchildren, Arle'ona Dubose, Amoura Thomas, and Rae'lynn Dubose; her uncle, Richard Dubose; her aunts, Carolyn Moore and Karen Peoples; and a host of other relatives. Darla is now reunited with her beloved mother, Betty L. Dubose; her father, Joseph Rogers; her dear grandparents, Emanuel and Thelma Dubose; her uncle, Robert Dubose; and her aunts, Aretta Earley, Dorothy Dubose, Shirley Dubose, and Patricia Dubose, who preceded her in passing, along with her cousins Lonnie Marie Martin (Atkinson) and Jaison Everett Ragsdale Jr., to whom she was very close, and her dear friends Wendy Barnes and Cassandra Bass. Though gone from our sight, Darla's light and love will forever remain in our hearts.
