Darell G. Jones, affectionately known as "DJ" transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Akron City Hospital.  He was born on April 30, 1963, to the union of Robert Burkes and   Corrine Pringle-Jones.  He was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio.

He was married to Stephanie for 17 years and became the stepfather to Donnetta Fain-Feaster (Sam).

DJ worked as a general laborer as well as took good care of his grandmother before her transition.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; Dolan Jones, grandmother; Corrine Jones, uncles; Willie Jones, Albert Jones and Charles Jones, cousins; Terrance Jones, Albert Jones and Yolanda Jones

He leaves to cherish is memory, stepfather; Morris Pringle, brother; Darnell Pringle (Jackie) and a host of cousins and friends.
