In the wee hours of the morning on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Our Heavenly Father sent His Angel to escort his daughter   Cynthia D.M. Hawkins-Preston home. She was born December 2, 1944 to Henry and Delores Hawkins of Alliance, Ohio. She attended the Alliance City Schools, graduating from Alliance Sr. High, Alliance, Ohio.

She accepted Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Cynthia loved the Lord and had great faith in Him. At age 18, she moved to Canton, Ohio making it her home. She retired from The Hoover Company, North Canton after 32 years of service.

She was affectionately known as "Mae Mae" & "Cindy". She loved to cook and was a great cook. She truly enjoyed being with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her   parents, brothers Joseph F Brown and John H.D. Hawkins, Sr.

To cherish her memory she leaves her only daughter Vina S.  Oliver; grandchildren, Charm'ba M. Oliver, Cynthia M. Oliver, Sha'uri Nelson, Seth Nelson, Jr.; siblings, Louise V. Collins of Tuscon, Arizona, Brenda (James) Hawkins-Jackson of Canton, Ohio, Matthew E. Brown of Covington, Kentucky; special nephew, John H.D. Hawkins, Jr.; special cousin, Darrell Hawkins of Canton, Ohio; special friends, George Holloway of Canton, Ohio and Aaron  Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
