Curtis D Warren, a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21,2025 at the age of 70.
He was born on September 14,1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Florence P Wallace and Curtis R Warren. He later moved to Akron, Ohio where he attended Akron Public Schools and later joined the US Army.
Curtis had an unwavering passion for music, which became the heartbeat of his life. He was a proud member of 145 Band and The Silk Band, where his talent and dedication shone brightly. Whether playing the guitar, singing, or simply listening to melodies. Music was his Sanctuary.
Beyond his musical accomplishments, Curtis cherished time with his family and friends. He devoted countless hours to creating memories-sharing laughter, stories, and the warmth of his presence. One of his greatest joys was teaching his loved ones about music, especially guiding them in learning the guitar, and performing for them with heartfelt sincerity.
Curtis will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity of spirit, and his ability to bring people together through the universe language of music. His legacy lives on in the songs he played, the lessons he taught, and the loved he shared.
He is preceded in death by mother, Florence P Wallace; father, Curtis R Warren; son, Christopher Warren; brother, Gregory Warren; sister, Beverly Warren.
Curtis leave to cherish his memory; companion, Gwen Culver; (special friend /wife), Dawn Warren; sons, Ernest (Kizzy) Ruffin, Curtis (Aaron) Mitchell, Carlos Warren-Miller, all of Akron Ohio; daughters, Meeco Warren, Lovelee Warren, Canisha George all of Akron, Ohio; grandkids, Michael, Julius, Jahayla, S'Donna, Sonya, Shakeen ,Ka'Jzha, Curtis Jr, Colton, Janisha, Tarae, Adarus, Chardon, and Cartier all of Akron, Ohio; (15) great grandchildren and host of other family and friends.
