Obituary

Mr. Curtis Allen Jr. passed away March 16, 2022.  Born on August 24, 1936 in Waynesburg, Ohio to the late Mary (Barrino) and Curtis Allen Sr.

Curtis retired from Whitacre and Greer Brick Yard after 40 years of service.  He was a man of few words but spoke volumes.  He loved serving the Lord and helping others.  He served on the Deacon Board for many years at Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. W.C. Henderson and St. Mark's Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor George Dunwoody.

Curtis was an avid bowler and was active in many social groups, including the Canton Negro Oldtimers and Junietes just to name a few.

In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by his siblings, Lemar, Roy Lee, William T., David S. Allen, Julie A. Bailey, and   Monica Haynes. . Curtis is survived by his sons, Patrick Allen, Charles (Gloria) Massey, and Preston Massey; grandchildren, Patrick and Patrice Allen, Sasha Williams, Amarian and Morgan Massey; great grandchildren, Jayden, Melody, Bryland, J'laya, Kharis; siblings, Marilyn Anthony, Hassie (Timothy) Pryor, Joanne Brunner, Bonnie (Jerry) Allen, and John A. Allen; special friends, Willie Roberts, Perry Miles, and Doug Smith, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Curtis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
