Cumi Madison Merriweather, age 76, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. She was raised in Troy, Alabama and attended Roger/Pike County School. She was a member of Rock West Baptist Church in Goshen,  Alabama where she was a soloist in the choir and most recently she was a member of  Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio where she was the church mother,a soloist in the choir and on the Missionary Board. She had a voice of an angel. She was a member of the Wilkerson Beauty Chapter Lodge #290 (Eastern Star). In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband of 52 years Bob Richard Merriweather; sister, Helen Hines. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; (4) sons, Fred Madison, Jr. of Troy, Alabama, Robert Merriweather of Canton, Ohio; Johnnie (Cindy) Merriweather of  Canton, Ohio, Tyree Merriweather of Cumming, Georgia;(4) daughters; Arthereane Ballard of Brundidge, Alabama, Barbara Madison of Canton, Ohio,Stephanie Merriweather Simmons of Canton, Ohio, Latrevia Merriweather of Canton, Ohio; (3) sisters,Thelma Jean Shepherd of Luverne, Alabama, Autrey Lee Bryant of Luverne, Alabama, Barbara Ann Rodgers of  Luverne, Alabama; (3) brothers, Nathan Madison, Jr. of Luverne, Alabama, James Nelson Madison of Luverne, Alabama and Foshen Madison, Sr. of  Luverne, Alabama; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and along with a host of other family members and friends whom will miss her dearly.
