Obituary

Constance (Connie) A. Alston of Canton, OH transitioned on Tuesday March 8, 2022,  due to diabetes,  she's been battling for a while.

Connie was born on August 14, 1953, in Canton Ohio she is a Canton McKinley Bulldog graduate Class of 1973 Connie joined the worked force at an early aged and kept a  job up until time she couldn't work due to heath issues. She was a clerk at Hills & Ames Department Stores, USPS, Factory Worker, The Hoover Company, Massillon Tiger Cab Company, Rhoden Memorial Home, and a Group Home Caregiver at  Midwest Home Care.

Connie was baptized in Jesus name and was filled with the Holy Ghost at a young age.  She was a  faithful member of Greater Bethel Apostolic Church, where she raised all 6 of her children, under the leadership of Suff. Bishop Ralph M. Byrd.  Connie worked in the church as the Church Transportation Ministry Dispatcher for 15 + years, she was also a Health Professional (Church Nurse), active member of the Women's Auxiliary and Singles Ministry.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents ,Charles Alston & Marion Andrews, stepfather Ernest J. Andrews; (2) brothers, Charles and Stanley Robbins; (1) sister, Shella Stover.

She leaves to cherish her  memories forever:  her godmother, Mother Maple Thompson; (2) sisters, Evangelist Beverly Nicholson and Donzetta Watson; (1) sister-in-love, Cheryl Ribbons; (6) god siblings, Adrianne "Bonnie" Robinson, Anette "Tone" Thompson, Anita Thompson,  Sampson "Lee" Thompson, Cheryle Drummond, and Demetria "Dee Dee Varnadore; (6) children, Charles "Eric" (Barb) Alston, Mari Alston, Webster Alston, Ashley Alston of  Akron Ohio, Audree Alston, and Arthur "Trae" Alston; honorary sons, Cortez Watson (her nephew), Niko Ervin II and Darrell Parker II; (8) grandchildren, Erin (Yoseph) Carter, Caleb, Erica, Naya, Jorja Alston, Alanni Alston, Dearie Alston, Avari Alston, Davonte Henderson, J'Vaire Bethune NiYonna Ervin. 11; great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends; special close cousins, Linda Gales, Chrissy Gatlin of (South Carolina) and Lorraine Gordon of (North Carolina); beautician and daughter-in-love: Rochelle McNeal.
