On the morning of May 12, 2021, MaShawn passed away at Mercy Hospital at the age of 33 years old.

MaShawn was born in Canton, Ohio on October 10, 1987 at Aultman Hospital.  He was the first child of Terri Raine and Mason French.

MaShawn was a man who loved his family.  He especially loved his dogs.  He was the life of the party no matter where he went.  He kept everyone laughing.  MaShawn was passionate about music, leading him to make music of his own.

MaShawn is predeceased by his aunt Valerie "Kim" Raine; great aunt, Geraldine "Gerri" Tuck; daughter, Marie Risby; grandparents, Clifton Raine, Mary Raine, Augustine and Willie Howell; brother, Anthony Perretti.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his parents, Terri Raine,  Gerald Long, and Mason French; siblings, Taryn Raine (Ronnie), Marquis Raine (Letitia) Torie (Andrew) Dunn, Kellie Raine, and Josh Watkins (Mehgin); children, Zene'a Gearheart, Terrance Rohr, J'Kye French, Destiny French, Cayden French, and Lucas Morris; significant other, Jennifer Cunningham; nieces, and nephews, Mason Raine, Tamron Brown, Ta'Ron Brown, Tra"Von Brown, and Amir Raine as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
