Clarence
Thomas
May 20, 1975 – April 7, 2020
Clarence Thomas, age 44, went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2020. Clarence was born in Canton, Ohio on May 20, 1975 to Essie (Thomas) Freeman and the late Clarence Thomas Sr. He was a 1994 graduate of Timken Sr. High School and attended Stark State College where he successfully made the Dean's List numerous times. Clarence was employed by ARRAY, Inc. where he was a Day Habilitation Supervisor, providing services as well as teaching job and life skills to individuals with developmental disabilities. Clarence was an avid sports fan– college and professional. In his youth basketball was his passion. He loved to talk about and share his knowledge of the sport with everyone, especially children. He loved football and was a huge Cleveland Brows fan (win or lose) and "IS" Notre Dame's biggest fan. He had a ritual before Notre Dame games and if you were at the house to watch the game, you had to participate! Music was a daily part of Clarence's life. There was no occasion that did not include music. He enjoyed martial arts and insisted Bruce Lee was the greatest of all time. He loved his "road dog" Yubby and rarely went anywhere without her. He enjoyed making people laugh. Clarence was an extremely generous and giving man. If he loved you, he did it with his whole heart.
Our lives are books with chapters, filled with many memories and stories. However, sometimes those books end unexpectedly and not how we would have wanted them to. We are so very blessed to have had such a beautiful soul in our lives. He leaves us all with many precious memories that neither death nor time can take from us. For those of us who loved Clarence, we will hold him close to us and carry him in our hearts and prayers for the rest of our lives. He will be forever missed, and our lives will never be the same again.
Clarence leaves behind his cherished children: Christopher, Kendrik, Raelynn Joe; stepdaughters, Saleah and Dylan; fiancée, Tracy; beloved mother, Essie (William) Freeman; sister, Angela; stepsister, Cherise; stepbrother, Michael; (2) nieces, Asia and Alicia; nephew, Alan; grandson, Desmond; aunts, uncles, cousins and a select group of friends he called "His Boys" who he considered family.
