On June 21, 2024, Clarence Finklea went home to be with the Lord at the age of 84. Clarence Finklea was born on August 30, 1939, in McKenzie, Alabama to the late Sol Finklea and Mary Lee Shufford. Clarence met and married his wife Annie Mae Finklea and to that union five children were born. Clarence Finklea Jr., Annie Melissa Finklea, Tara Finklea, Lamonica Finklea, and Jermaine Finklea.

Clarence enjoyed taking trips to the casino, playing the lottery twice a day and fishing. You always knew where you stood with Clarence as he was never one to hold back on his thoughts and opinions. You could always count on him for a good laugh or to give it to you straight. Clarence was proceeded in death by his daughters' Tara Finklea and Annie Melissa Finklea, his mother and father Mary Lee Shufford and Sol Finklea, and his brothers' Freddie Lee Finklea and Charles L. Finklea.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Annie Mae Finklea, his children; Clarence Finklea Jr (Christine), Lamonica Finklea (Donte), and Jermaine Finklea (Nicole), his siblings: Almos Shufford, Robert Shufford, Council Shufford, Jason Shufford, Clifford Shufford, Johnny Mack, Martha Benjamin, Mary Shufford, Annie Floyd, and Regina Robinson. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, special grandson Anthony James, special uncle Mack Shufford Sr and special aunt Rose Butler and a host of family and friends.
