Cherlyn D. Graves, 73, of Canton, Ohio passed away on June 25, 2024 after an extended illness. Cherlyn was born on March 22, 1951 to the late Augustus (Gus) and Geraldine Graves. In addition to her parents, Cherlyn is preceded in death by her sister, Ronda Mathis and brother, Melvin (Gus) Graves. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her children Jenell Graves, Richard Graves Sr., and Eva Graves. She is also survived by her sister, Marva Collins; grandchildren KaNisha Powell, TaNazia Redrick, Jewelle Redrick, Richard Graves Jr., Alana Burrows and DaMarcus Cross and eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She was also like a mother to Maryann (deceased), Alicia, Jonetta, Kelley, Octavia, and Melvin and like a grandmother to Tiffany, Aaramis, Tamara (deceased), Anthony, Tommie, Malik, and Michaela. Cherlyn was a woman of faith and a faithful member at Antioch Baptist Church. Cherlyn was a woman who had a quiet strength about her, she was quick witted, and extremely intelligent but most of all she was a woman who welcomed and loved everyone she encountered. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
