Charles Wesley Williams, age 95, departed this life on June 16, 2021.  He went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by family. Charles was born July 27, 1925 in Clio, Alabama to the late Maudie and Leila Williams.

Affectionately known as, "C.W.," as well as "Knuckie," Charles was a long time member of Asbury Chapel A.M.E. church in Waynesburg, Ohio. He loved the Lord, as was exemplified by his compassionate spirit and willingness to give to others. Charles served in the United States Army combating in World War II, receiving the Victory Medal of Honor. He was employed by Babcox & Wilcox for 19 years retiring in 1983. Charles loved fraternizing with family and friends and was a member of the Old Timers' Club. He was also an avid fan of the Canton McKinley High School Bulldogs, and enjoyed a good Cigar.

C.W. LOVED his mother, and his family. He took great care of his brothers and sisters who, in turn, took care of him.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Maudie and Leila Williams; wife Ernestine Williams, sisters: Ella Mae Hall, Eva Woodruff, Florence Williams, Corene Williams, Lorene Sims, and Bertha Morris; and brothers: Frank Williams, Larry Williams, Ronald Williams, Donald Williams, and Fredrick Hall.

He is survived by sisters: Catherine Clark, and Gertha (Dave) Smith of Canton, OH, Dr. Delores Henderson of Mendota Heights, MN, and Connie (Bill) Williams of East Canton, OH; brothers: George Williams of Massillon, OH, Harry Williams, and Gary (Rhonda) Williams of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
