Obituary

Deacon Cedric Arden "Ceddy Ced" Brown, age 54 of Akron Ohio, peacefully with his family by his side made his journey home, on Monday, June 14, 2021.

Cedric was born on June 23, 1966 to Ruby Jo and Robert Earl Brown. He was full of life, he was strong and brave. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends but most of all his favorite thing to do was barbecuing. He worked at Sealy Mattress and Katherine Collections, and lastly working for Next to Kin. Cedric was known as "daddy, papa, Unk, and Boss Man" by the ones that loved him. After his heart transplant in 9.5 years ago he was able to travel internationally with his children and grandchildren . He was able to witness three more of his grandchildren being born. Also he walked his oldest daughter down the aisle. Cedric also witnessed the first black president and first female black vice president and he also lived through COVID-19.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl and Ruby Jo Brown; brother, Robert Brown, Jr.; Grandfathers, Elijah Palmer and John Brown; Grandmothers, Stella Lampley and Lillian brown; Aunts, Stella Palmer and Patricia Boston; and Uncles John Brown and Henry Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory to his longtime friend and mother of his children Daphne Brown; daughters, Mercedes Beauford (Terry), Brandi Brown, and baby daughter Brooklynn brown;  The son he never had, the only grandson Zakhi RJ Johnson, and The lights of his life were his granddaughters Terrah, Taliah, Amiah, and Ta'raeh; sister, Marsha brown (Keith Daniels), nephews; Ronald, Marquis, Vernon, Emmanuel, Latrez, Joshua and nieces Courtney, Tiara, Tearra, and Danielle; Aunts, Sally Knight, Peggy Allen and Johnnie Mae Clark; Uncles, Jessie brown and Howard brown; Brothers in law, Darryl Austin and Vernon Jacobs; Sister in law, Nancy Jacobs; God son, Zaire Lewis; his brother for life Leeshawn "Swoop" Brown; and  a host of other family and friends.
