Catherlene T. Hansley, age 87, departed this life on August 29, 2021 after an extended illness.  She was born November 30, 1933 to the late Ressie and James Thompson in Lumberton, North Carolina.

Catherlene was employed by several companies including, Minute Man, Sarta, and Plastic Co.   She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Canton Baptist Temple.

Catherlene lived a life full of love for her family and friends.  The love that she extended to her sisters was like a "mother's love".   She enjoyed fishing, dancing, beautiful flowers, and spending time with her family.  She was a "fashion queen" in her own right, and was always "dressed to the nines."

Catherlene was known to tell you exactly how she felt, she didn't bite her tongue for nobody!      To know her was to love her and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Catherlene was preceded in death by her grandmother who raised her, Molly Thompson; brother, James.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Herman Jr., Bobby, Marie, Velva, Joyce, the Lennon Family; sisters, Louise Bowen,

Hazel Campbell; brothers, Robert and Charles; (13) grandchildren, (11) great grandchildren, (27) great-great grandchildren.
