Catherine "Kitty" Walters, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2017. She was born on February 10, 1953 to the late Rosa Davis- Walters. She attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from East High School in 1971.Kitty united with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in 1995. She was a faithful choir member "Voices of Galilee" also serving on other ministries. Kitty loved decorating, coordinating special occasions in her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Kitty never met a stranger, one thing anyone who got to know her would agree that she was sweet, smart, sassy and a strong women. She was a jack of all trades and a master of many. Kitty will be greatly missed in the hearts of those who loved her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Walters- Davis; grandmother, Rebecca Reese; sisters, Lynette Davis, and Rebecca Mitchell. She leaves to forever cherish her loving memory her children, Erica Walters, Jonathon Franklin Jr., and Cheryl Franklin; special sons, Jazz Smith, Jacques Junius, Nate "The Great" and Myron Jefferey; grandchildren, Kmani Carr Sr., Rahsheya Carr, Zanayah Franklin, and Jonathon Franklin III; great grandson, Kmani Carr Jr.; sisters, Cynthia, Mary, and Vernell; brothers, Emmitt, Fred, Berwin Jr., Jerry (Debbie); special friend, Donald Dampier; and to all her sistah friends…near and far you know who you are; along with a host of family and friends near and far.
