Carrie Williams Simmons, 96, passed away on September 17,2015 in Camden N.J. following an extended illness. Carrie was in New Jersey visiting her sister Annie E.Smith. She was born March 24,1919 in Green County Alabama. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Simmons, her parents James & Lessie Williams; Sisters, Ella Dee & Mary Louise; Brothers, R.L.(Robert Lee), Freddie, Henry and Jonny. She received her education in the Forkland Public Schools and worked various jobs. Carrie loved to travel. She's been places some of us only dream of.  Carrie was an excellent cook! Every time you asked her, what you doing? She'll tell you cooking or baking something delicious. Carrie was a loving and caring lady to all that have met her. She was known to many as "Grandmom". Ninety six years of celebrating a life of humility and thankfulness is the legacy Carrie is leaving us. She attended The Kingdom Hall on Sherrick Rd. S.E. in Canton, Ohio. Left to cherish her memories are her loving sister Annie E Smith, Sister- In-Law Ludie William, as well as nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Special appreciation to Cousin Gwenn Barrett, and congregation member and dear friend Lavenia Banks.  Services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 12 noon, Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 1319 Sherrick Rd.
