Calvin Devan Scott, Sr. was born seventh of sixteen children in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of the late Edward and Elaine Scott on March 31, 1951.  Calvin attended Cleveland Public Schools where he learned mechanics and electronics. He later left home and joined the carnival where he worked for thirty years until his illness would no longer allow it. Calvin enjoyed being around his family, playing his       guitar,  and tinkering with his electronic models. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by (3) sisters, Bertha, Mary M. and Violet Rebecca. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Calvin Devan Scott, Jr., his daughter Angela M. Scott (Fiance, John Daugherty) and only grandchild Shannon Rene Daugherty. He is also survived by his ex-wife Linda Scott-Lockwood (husband, Dean Lockwood); (6) brothers, Edward Z Scott, Herchill Scott, Edward Scott, Jr., Beatrice Scott, Isaac Scott, Florencine Taylor, Ellehew Scott, Ceathel Scott, Sadie Scott, Sarah Scott, John Scott as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
