Bryant Downs Jr. 77 was called to his eternal home on March 2, 2023, surrounded by his brother, cousins and friends.  He was born March 19, 1945, in Akron, Ohio.

Bryant served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean Veteran reaching the rank of Specialist Fourth Class.  He graduated from Garfield High School and was a retired Chef.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant and Audrey Downs and brothers, Herman and Harold Downs.  He is survived by his brother, Sergeant First Class Johnnie Downs of Akron, Ohio, sister, Beverly Downs of Norfolk, Virginia, niece, Shannon Downs-Rucker (Maurice), nephew, Ben Jordan Downs (Kate), cousins, The Shadie, Graise and Hamilton Families as well as other relatives and friends.

Bryant lived his life many years the way he wanted to, singing the song, "I did it My Way", his later years, he accepted God into his life, enjoying reading The Bible and attending Maranatha Bible Church and Adult Bible Function (ABF) class.  Today we weep for Bryant's presence and our tears will flow.  We will meet in Heaven…… PEACE BE STILL
