Blanche Donald was born on September 5, 1933 and departed from this life on March 2, 2021. She was born in Newbern, AL to the late Deacon Al and Willie Herring. She accepted Christ at an early age. Blanche joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later attended New Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Luther C. Cooper. She graduated from Central High School and later became a licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Visiting Nurse Service until she retired in 1992. Blanche was a lifetime member of the NAACP and an original member of the Travel Log Club. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Donald; children, Devry and Raymond Mosley; infant grandson, Kelly Primes, Jr.; brothers, Al, James and Joseph Herring; and sisters, Fannie Banks, Willie L. and Georgia Herring. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer and Lynda Donald; grandson, Marcus (Michelle) Beach; granddaughters, Fanethia Beach, Develyn (Tracy) Gadson, and Tamela Donald; seventeen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; best friend, Kathryn Jenkins; God daughter, Sierra Padilla; God sons, Clifford (Sueanne) Miller and Kelly Primes; a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. We will miss our beloved.
