As the spirit moved from his body Dr. Bishop Eric Ruple transitioned his life on Dec 28, 2020.  Preacher, master mind of all trades, walking bible, walking encyclopedia, will preach to the highest level of expectations.

Our father, daddy, uncle and brother is gone.....in his years of being on this earth he accomplished many things.  Dr. Bishop Eric Ruple graduated from South High School in 1970 after which he met the love of his life, Patricia Keys and became husband and wife in 1971. He accepted his calling in the year of 1975 after which he became an ordained Bishop. He started employment at Akron University but his whole focus was to dedicate his life completely to the Lord. In 1988 he started to attend college for Sociology he graduated in 1993 with an Associate degree.

On his journey to fulfill his promise to the Lord he began preaching out of 842 East Ave. which was his home. A family man as well as one of the greatest preachers that walked inside your church, filled with the word. After years went by dementia set in but he still walked by faith. Dr. Bishop Eric Ruple will truly be missed by his wife, children, family and friends.

Dr. Bishop Eric Ruple was preceded in death by grandmother, Lovell Ruple, father, Chris Ruple, Sr., Mother/stepfather, Elizabeth/Julius Jackson, son, Perry James Ruple, sister, Phyllis Ruple-Brown and grandson, Erin Ruple.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and dedicated wife of fifty years, Patricia Ann Ruple; his loving memory will also be cherished by his siblings; sisters, Libby (James) Wallace, Phoebe (David) Lewis, Gloria Smith, Denise (Thomas) Portis, Willete Riley, Kourtney Ruple, and Latoria Lofton; brothers, Glen Ruple, Emir Ruple of Chicago,I'll, Larry Fitzgerald, Lavernon Lofton, Chris Ruple Jr. and a host of unknown siblings.

As we will mourn together he left his legacy to his loving children; sons, Eric Ruple Jr., Dewayne White, Reuben (Tia-Ping) Ruple, daughters, Rosemary, DeShone (Terry) Ruple-Craig, Rose Ruple, Mattie Wade-Tucker, and Felicia Ruple.

Dr. Bishop Eric Ruple had a great host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. The last to mourn is the family he started, the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
