Betty Jean Keith was born on March 3, 1935 to Milburn N. Cantrell and Julia Thompson. She fell asleep in death on October 16, 2017 awaiting the resurrection hope. She was a member of Timothy Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, she was the secretary, and treasurer. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Keith Sr.; father, Milburn Cantrell Sr.; mother, Julia Thompson-Ray; step-father, Charlie Ray; sons, Melvin Cantrell Sr. and Robert Keith; brothers, Milburn Cantrell Jr., Willie Ray Sr., and Reginald Ray Sr; sisters, Joyce Kelker and Christine Cantrell. Betty leaves to celebrate her life daughters, caregiver, La Vonne (Frederick) Johnson and Valerie Robertson; daughter-in-law, Leslie Keith; brother, John Ray; sisters, Ella Mae Beverly, Helen Kelker, Margie McKinstry, Dorothy (Nate) Manson and Patricia (John) Penson; grandchildren, Ron and Maurice Varner, Nina Cantrell, Tanishia (Dean) Bickley, Kobe Bryant Keith, Melvin Cantrell Jr. and Lamar Chambers; brother-in-law, Dejuan Kelker Sr.; special caregivers, Tywand Varner and Debbie West; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other loving family and friends. Special thanks to Fresenius Dialysis Center and Dr. Scott Mabee and staff. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 656 Copley Road, Akron, Ohio 44320.
