Betty Lou Armstrong, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 following an extended illness.  Betty was born March 20, 1934 in Canton, OH to the late Daisy (Adams) and Charles Armstrong I.

Betty attended school St. Peter's and was a graduate of McKinley High School.  Betty worked for 25 years before retiring from the Timken Rolling Bearing Company.  She was a member of St. Peter's Claver, enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and loved listening and dancing to music.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Daisy and Charles Armstrong; sons, Wayne and Gerald Armstrong; daughter, Vanessa Walker and great grandson GaVonte Jones; brothers, Charles (Annette) Armstrong II and William Armstrong.    She leaves to cherish her memory, sister,  Doris Turner; granddaughters, Yvonna  Armstrong, Yolanda Armstrong, La Nisha Walker and Latrisha Walker, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12 noon, Rhoden Memorial Home, 729 Cherry Ave. N.E., Canton, Ohio 44702. Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service.
